Setting up Email Accounts in Outlook 2010
In this short video tutorial, we'll show you how to create your email accounts in CPanel, and then how to set those accounts up in Outlook 2010.
The main points are:
- Create an account in Cpanel
- In Outlook, DO NOT use their automatic setup, select the manual setup
- The mail servers are mail.your-server.com (replace your-server.com with actual values, so for us it would be mail.php-web-host.com)
- DO NOT select "require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)". Repeat, UNCHECK this setting!
- In the "More Settings" section (button on right), select, "my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication", then select the option to use the same settings as the outgoing server
